Day 90: Butterlies at Airlie Gardens…..Time is running out to visit this beautiful butterfly house. The butterflies started their flight in May at Airlie Gardens and the butterfly house exhibit will close October 15, 2010. Visit it free with your regular garden admission www.airliegardens.com
This is a seasonal exhibit with different species of butterflies. The Butterfly House also features various plants which have been chosen to serve as the habitat for the butterflies. Teachers love to bring their classrooms for field trip where they can learn about the lifecycles of the butterfly. Get back to nature and explore what is native to your area. October is the most beautiful month in Wilmington, so take advantage of these beautiful Fall Days strolling through the gardens.
